Rapid Emergency Response – Simulation exercise of Educo Bangladesh

For testing the organizational preparedness to respond to any emergency, Educo Bangladesh organized a day long simulation exercise session on 19 December’21.  Total 30 staff (Senior Management Team, Program Team, HR, MEAL, Procurement, Resources Mobilization, Admin and Finance) from Educo Bangladesh attended the simulation exercise. The team was divided into 04 groups and worked on 04 hazards: cyclone, flood, earthquake, and fire. They teams exercised through mock demonstration of the ways of hazard monitoring, preparation of situation report (sitrep), needs assessment, response plan, donor negotiation and relief items distribution process. The groups were asked to maintain core humanitarian standards and humanitarian principles from hazards monitoring the relief distribution. This was a great way of capacity development of emergency response team which was formed in 2019 for rapid emergency response.
