An Agreement signing Ceremony was held between Educo Bangladesh and Nari Maitree on 22 February 2022. The agreement was on two projects ‘Promote Quality Education in the Mainstream Government Primary Schools (BD2058) and ‘Adolescent and Youth as an Agent of Change to Promote a Progressive Society (BD2066)’. On behalf of Educo Bangladesh, Mr. Abdul Hamid, the country director, and on behalf of Nari Maitree, Ms. Shaheen Akter Dolly, the Executive Director signed the agreement.
Through the agreement both the organizations agreed to work together to contribute in promoting quality primary education and developing the capacity of adolescents and youth towards active citizenship at 20 schools and adjacent communities under the Dhaka district of Bangladesh. Major emphasis will be given to increase access to education for out-of-school children, improve basic reading and mathematical skills of primary grade children, different co-curricular activities to improve the overall development of the children, create a safe and friendly learning environment, capacity development of educators. Under youth development project, the plan is to form and build capacity of 20 Adolescent and youth clubs at 20 communities so that the club members can bring positive change in their life as well as in the society as a whole.
