Community children-led awareness campaigns on Ending Violence Against Children at Cox’s Bazar

We have organized community children-led awareness campaigns on Ending Violence Against Children (EVAC) at Rumkha Palong and Ukhiya Model Govt. Primary School, Ukhia, Cox’s Bazar on 22^nd November and 2^nd December 2021. With active participation of children, the day-long campaigns spread awareness against violence through sports and entertainment, and to hold on to this motivation, the children were provided with gifts and prizes.

Upazila Social Welfare Officer, Mr. Al Mahmud Hossain, and Upazila Education officer, Ms. Gulshan Akter, were present in the campaigns as special guests to convey their message on EVAC awareness. Nearly 500 students and parents along with teachers, Educo and JCF’s staff attended these programs under the project, “Strengthen community-based protection & response mechanism for the children of Rohingya camp and host-community in Cox’s Bazar”.
