Educo has been working with and for children and their communities to promote just and equitable society which guarantees their rights and wellbeing. We always emphasis on proper safeguarding of all the people we work with and for. Recently, we have organized refresher session on “Educo Safeguarding Policy” for Educo staffs and volunteers to enhance capacity and to mainstream Child Safeguarding policy. All staffs and volunteers of Educo Bangladesh team have participated in separate sessions at Dhaka, Sreemangal, Bhaluka, Ranisankail and Cox’s Bazar Office.
The interactive sessions covered the key learnings on explicit responsibilities in protection, safeguarding and positive treatment, code of conduct, internal cases of breach of the child safeguarding policy and associated measures. Moreover, the staff have been re-oriented about how to manage a hypothetical situation and reporting process about any concern, suspicion, or incident. The sessions have been delivered in person and online through participative and interactive methods by sharing relevant information by our experts.
