On 26 October 2021, at National Press Club, Dhaka, Safe Back to School (SB2S) campaign alliance members organized a press briefing on the campaign’s ongoing mass awareness activities and future planning. Through the campaign, we are actively drawing attention to support – school readiness focusing on health safety, MHPSS and teacher capacity to minimize health risks and learning loss, community readiness through sensitization against child protection risks to reduce dropout and learning inequality and CSO readiness through synergizing parallel efforts into one ‘SB2S campaign’ to optimize resources and maximize reach. Golam Kibria – Head of Education, Quality Assurance and Compliance, Educo Bangladesh represent the organization in the press conference and shared Educo’s position and support in the campaign.
Educo Bangladesh is an active alliance member of SB2S since its inception (10 February 2020). The other 17 national and international development organizations are BRAC, CAMPE, Dhaka Ahsania Mission, FIVDB, Friendship, Habitat for Humanity Bangladesh, Handicap International- Humanity and Inclusion, Jagorani Chakra Foundation, Plan International Bangladesh, Room to Read Bangladesh, Save the Children in Bangladesh, Sightsavers Bangladesh, Sesame Workshop Bangladesh, Stromme Foundation, Teach for Bangladesh, VSO, World Vision Bangladesh and Young Power in Social Action.
