ALOY-ALOW project highly emphasizes on parenting for ECD learner to promote and supports the physical, emotional, social, spiritual, and intellectual development of a child from infancy to adulthood. But most of parents of tea garden areas under Moulvibazar district are day labors, and maximum time remain isolated from their children due to their work. Children often get deprived from their parents’ care and love. Thus, they are facing obstacles to grow normally, and their intellectual development cannot flourish. ECD facilitators are responsible and play vital role to conduct parenting session in the community. They organize and lead discussions using the parenting manual.
Educo has organized residential TOT on parenting session at BRAC Learning center from 17-22 September 2022 with the support of an external trainer. Total 98 ECD facilitators from 4 PNGOs (MSEDA, BTS, Prochesta & IDEA) have participated in the training in 03 batches. The objective of this training was to enhance their skill & knowledge on parenting so that they can build to strong and secure relationships between parent and child and protect children from negative outcomes because of adverse experiences and supporting overall family well-being.
