The families of the four beneficiaries of the ALOY-ALOW Project, who died in a hillock collapse (Landslide) at Luckichhera tea garden, have received emergency support from Educo. In the emergency response, Country Director & Director-Program support of Educo Bangladesh, concerned Tea Garden Authority and Union Parishad member were present and aid items were handed over to each family member of the victim families.

Arun Mahali, Panchayet Secretary, and husband of late Radha Mahali said, “My four children are connected to ALOY ALOW project through ECD or youth club. In our saddest time the way Educo lend his hand, I and my family will remember you all till my death.”

They were the breadwinners of their families. Their deaths left the family in financial trouble. At the same time, the strike was going on to demand an increase in the wages of the workers in the tea plantations. For this, they were living in extreme misery, and in dire need of financial & food support, especially for the children. Considering their hard situation, on 12th September2022, Educo ALOY ALOW project has provided cash, food and play items to each affected family funded by ChildFund Korea.
