Educo Bangladesh celebrated the International Youth Day 2021 on 12 August, underscoring this year’s thematic focus on “Transforming Food Systems: Youth Innovation for Human and Planetary Health.” Educo Adolescents and Youth Development Program, in association with its partner organizations jointly organized a range of national and local level events with essay writing competitions to mark the day. Different platforms have pulled together around 200 underprivileged adolescents and youth, government and non-government duty-bearers, and stakeholders to get connected and share ideas and views on the significance of youth involvement and innovation to build a healthy Bangladesh. In addition to that, adolescents and youth had also been aware of the government’s services and opportunities, hence they may play a crucial role during a crisis.
