Every year, Educo celebrates International Women’s Day on March 08 to celebrate women, their rights and their achievements. This year, under the theme ‘Women in leadership: Achieving an equal future in a COVID-19 world’, Educo Bangladesh celebrates the tremendous efforts by women and girls around the world in shaping a more equal future and recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. The celebration took part at Educo Bangladesh country office in the form of an inhouse participatory discussion session.
In the discussion, Educo Bangladesh’s country director Abdul Hamid said, ‘Women’s full and effective participation and leadership in all areas of life drives progress for everyone. Yet, women are still underrepresented in decision-making.’ He further urged that Its high time, men and women collaboratively come ahead to acknowledge the contributions of women to win the battle against COVID-19. Educo Bangladesh envisions better and safe world for everyone!
